About the game

What you do in a play session

Hey everyone! Ready to blast off on a space journey with 1998 ISS? This game throws you right into the construction of the International Space Station back in 1998, when the American Unity module joined the Russian Zarya. Here's the deal: you'll manage your actions between Earth and the ISS itself. On Earth, you'll be training astronauts, loading materials for experiments, preparing new modules (whoever contributes more modules gets extra actions, get it?), and planning which experiments to conduct. Up on the ISS, the action involves moving those materials out, performing experiments that will score most of the points, having your astronauts stay longer to study the effects of microgravity (and earn some points for it!), and installing new modules that grant more points and open up new possibilities. Basically, what you do on Earth prepares you for what will bring you victory on the ISS. The game ends when 5 American or Russian rockets are launched. Whoever has the most points wins the station! It's a medium-weight game, perfect for those who enjoy exploring space themes with a good dose of strategy and management. You can play with 1 to 4 people, and each game lasts between 60 and 90 minutes. Get ready for a well-crafted simulation of life in space!
