6 nimmt! 25 Years is the commemorative edition of the classic card game that has won millions of fans worldwide. The goal is simple yet the strategy deep: you want to score the lowest possible points. The game starts with 104 numbered cards from 1 to 104, each with a different point value. At the beginning, four cards are placed in rows on the table and each player receives 10 cards. In each turn, all players choose a card from their hand, reveal it simultaneously, and place it in the appropriate row, always in ascending order. If the placed card is the sixth in a row, the player who placed it picks up the five previous cards and the card just placed becomes the first of the new row. This “pick-up” mechanic creates constant tension, as you must decide whether to risk placing a card that might make you pick up an entire row. The 25‑Year edition adds 28 special cards that change the dynamics: you can open a new row, move cards, block rows, increase the row limit, and more. These cards add unpredictability and require players to adapt quickly. The game proceeds for two rounds, then the cards are shuffled and the process restarts. At the end of the second round, the player with the fewest points wins. 6 nimmt! is ideal for groups of 2 to 10 players and has a very short learning curve, but the strategic depth makes it fun for long sessions. It’s a family game that works well at parties, gatherings, and game nights, and its simultaneous play mechanic ensures no one can predict exactly what others will do, keeping tension high at all times.
