About the game
What you do in a play session
Prepare to dive into the dark world of 'A Touch of Evil: Dark Gothic', a deck-building game where each player takes on the role of a monster-hunting hero. Your hero not only dictates your starting deck but also grants a unique ability that can be crucial in the fight against the darkness. You'll work together to defeat terrifying villains and creatures, but beware: if ten cards fall into the shadows, everyone loses! The competition gets fierce because, in the end, only one hero will be the ultimate winner, the one with the most investigation points. To increase the challenge, villains come in three difficulty levels, and a trio of them will be randomly drawn to form the main threat. Managing combat (red), cunning (green), and spirit (blue) currencies is essential, and some special cards accept any currency. You can power up your deck by buying cards from a central row or from always-available piles. Want to clean up your deck or the table? Face the 'Hungry Dead', an enemy that costs one of each currency and allows you to remove unwanted cards. But watch out for 'Dark Secrets', cards that poison your deck with negative points, but when drawn, force you to remove a card from the game and face a 'Shocking Discovery' – a bizarre effect that can mess up the game for you or everyone!
