About the game
In Ad Astra, you take the helm of one of five evolved human factions, each uniquely adapted to different planetary conditions. Your mission is to guide your race in exploring the galaxy, mining precious resources, terraforming planets to make them habitable, and establishing advanced space colonies. You might even unearth artifacts from a long-lost civilization to gain an edge! The game unfolds in three phases: Planning, Action, and End of Round. During the Planning phase, players secretly place action cards onto a shared board. Once all spaces are filled, the Action phase begins, and cards are revealed sequentially. All players can perform the corresponding action, but the card's owner gets an advantage, such as choosing which resource to produce or on which element to score. Available actions include Production (generating resources on planets), Movement (moving ships by spending energy), Build (constructing colonies, factories, ships, and terraformers using resources), Trade (exchanging resources with other players or the bank), and Scoring (earning points based on elements depicted on the card). At the end of the round, cards return to players' hands, and a new cycle commences. The game concludes when a player reaches 50 victory points or all planets have been discovered. The player with the most points is declared the winner!
