In Aether Captains: Clockwork Cabal, you step into the boots of a free captain and adventurer, a member of the Society of Clockwork Engineers. Your mission? Unravel an ancient mystery across Arkady! It all begins with a letter discovered in a dusty bookshop, revealing the legend of the Antikythera, a celestial navigation device broken into six parts and hidden within the city of Val Justinia. The danger is palpable: a shadowy cabal and their air pirate allies are hunting for these pieces to unleash global chaos. Your task is to find all six parts before time runs out and the cabal succeeds. The game unfolds with a modular board built anew each session, using City Sector cards to form the urban map. You navigate these areas, uncovering events and locations through other cards, all while managing your health and knowledge resources. It's a race against the clock, where dice rolls and clever exploration are key. With simple components and a focus on solo play, Clockwork Cabal offers a quick and immersive steampunk experience, perfect for those who enjoy solo challenges and a good dose of adventure.
