About the game
Agents of SMERSH: Epic Edition is a cooperative narrative game where 1-4 players become elite spies on a global mission to stop the infamous Dr. Lobo and his evil SMERSH organization. Traveling the world, players face hundreds of unique encounters, using special abilities, secret gear, and allies to unravel the plot. The mechanics are simple: dice rolls resolve challenges, but narrative choices are the heart of the game. Each visited location offers different bonuses, and collected Intel leads to Lobo's henchmen - each with their own 'Choose Your Own Adventure'-style mini-story. Defeating them provides advantages for the final showdown against Dr. Lobo himself... or should we say Drs. Lobo? The Epic Edition brought graphical upgrades and refined mechanics, focusing on what really matters: an immersive experience full of twists and impactful decisions. Get ready for a suspense-filled campaign where every choice could mean the difference between saving the world or... well, you know how spy stories can end.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is translation needed to play?
Yes, the game has A LOT of English text. You'll need an almost complete translation to play with non-English speakers.
Does it work well solo?
It does! The solo rules are well implemented, but be prepared to manage more than one agent by yourself.
What's different from the original version?
The Epic Edition brought renewed graphic design, streamlined mechanics, more narrative focus, plus new encounters and henchmen stories.
How long does a game take?
Between 90 and 120 minutes, but it can vary greatly depending on player choices and how many henchmen they decide to face.
Is it hard to learn?
Weight is medium (2.08/5 on BGG). Basic rules are simple, but there are many cards and specific situations that require manual consultation at first.
Worth it if I already own the original?
If you love the game and want a more polished experience, yes. But if you're satisfied with the original, the changes might not justify the investment.
How replayable is it?
With hundreds of encounters and multiple henchmen, you'll have several unique sessions before seeing significant repetition.
