Get ready for a compact and focused farm experience with Agricola: All Creatures Big and Small! This game, designed specifically for two players, takes the animal husbandry essence of the classic Agricola and transforms it into a nimble and addictive strategic challenge. Here, you won't be worrying about crops or vegetables; the focus is entirely on livestock, turning you into a master breeder of horses, cows, sheep, and pigs. Your goal is simple yet challenging: optimize your pastures and accumulate the largest number and variety of animals possible.
Each player starts with a small 3x2 plot, which can be expanded over the eight rounds of the game, providing more space for your herds to grow and your animals to roam free. In each round, you'll have access to sixteen distinct actions, but you can only perform three of them, making every choice crucial. The key to victory is a delicate balance between building the necessary infrastructure – fences to create pastures and special buildings – and acquiring the animals that are the main source of victory points at the end of the game. The base game already includes four standard buildings and four special buildings, each offering unique abilities during play or extra points at the end. Whoever manages to enclose the largest space and have the most prosperous and diverse farm, full of critters, will be the big winner!
