About the game

What you do in a play session

Agricola: Revised Edition invites you to dive into the challenging life of a 17th-century farmer! Forget easy living; here, the goal is to survive and thrive with your family. You start with just two family members and, over the course of the game, can expand it. More mouths to feed mean more actions available, but also a growing need for food! It's a constant dilemma: grow or starve? To keep your family fed, you'll need to plant grains and vegetables, as well as raise sheep, wild boar, and cattle. Every decision matters, from building new rooms in your house to improving your farm and extracting resources. The game is a masterclass in worker placement, where every meeple counts to optimize production and subsistence. This revised edition, from 2016, brought an updated rulebook and smoother gameplay, along with high-quality wooden components. The cards, from both the base game and its expansions, have been revised and rebalanced for an even better experience. The essence of Agricola remains: who will be the most successful and prosperous farmer? Get ready to manage your hand of cards, enclose your animals, and watch your resources grow automatically, all while trying to outmaneuver your opponents in a race for rural prosperity.
