About the game
What you do in a play session
In Amalfi: Renaissance, you step into the shoes of a shrewd merchant in the Italian port city of Amalfi, striving to revive the city’s former glory during the Renaissance. With only four vessels, each crew is tasked with exploring sea routes, storing goods, and bargaining with historical figures to earn honor points. The game unfolds over four rounds, where each move can unveil new map cards, purchase artworks, or hire legendary characters that provide strategic bonuses. The open drafting mechanic lets all players simultaneously choose resource cards, while hand management forces you to decide which goods to keep for future routes. The “Resource to Move” feature adds a strategic layer, requiring you to spend gold or wood to advance your ships. At the end, end‑game bonuses reward the largest fleet, highest honor, or completion of specific contracts. Amalfi also introduces lighthouse construction, improving visibility and route efficiency, and a tableau of cards that evolves as you accumulate wealth. If you enjoy games that blend trade, exploration, and resource planning in a vivid historical setting, this title will keep you hooked from start to finish. 60 to 120 minutes of pure fun, for 1 to 4 players, with LongPack Games ensuring quality and attention to detail in every component.
