About the game

What you do in a play session

In Anachrony: Fractures of Time, the first major expansion for the base game, the four original Paths and the newly formed Path of Unity uncover the mysterious Amethynia Valley. There, crystal flora produces Flux, a substance that can power up the Fracture device. With Flux Cores, players may "Blink" an already placed Exosuit to a new action space or instantly retrieve Workers and Free Action markers, enabling unprecedented action efficiency. However, Flux is a double‑edged sword: without a sufficiently advanced Fracture, overuse triggers Temporal Glitches that can shut down Exosuit bays, temporarily disable buildings, or increase susceptibility to Anomalies. The Valley also houses Harvesters' advanced tech, allowing players to remove glitches, upgrade classic Path equipment with new quirks, and even recruit Harvesters as a powerful new class of Workers immune to Flux side effects. The expansion adds fresh strategic depth, blending set collection, variable player powers, and worker placement within a sci‑fi economic setting. It maintains the series' emphasis on faction cooperation and rivalry while introducing even tighter risk‑reward decisions, making each session uniquely tense and temporally thrilling.
