Imagine a a distant future where global warming or technological leaps have made windmills thrive even in the Antarctic climate. As sea levels rise and resource consumption hits an all-time high, humanity has turned its gaze toward intense polar research. The Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research is watching closely, and they seem to be interpreting the Antarctic Treaty System in a rather... creative way. Your mission is to lead an expedition to establish research centers and mine vital resources—strictly for scientific purposes, of course!
The core of the game is driven by the sun, which orbits the continent in a counter-clockwise direction. This movement dictates your productivity: whenever the sunlight hits one of your ships, you gain the opportunity to take action. This is your moment to decide whether to construct new buildings, recruit a team of elite scientists, expand your fleet of ships, or dive deep into scientific research.
The game is a race against time and other explorers. The session concludes once all buildings are erected or when a player has deployed their final scientist. At the end, it all comes down to influence: who managed to control the most areas and secure the greatest scientific presence? Gear up, calibrate your instruments, and find out if your organization will be the true savior of mankind or just another footnote in the history of polar exploration!
