About the game
What you do in a play session
In Aqua Mirabilis, you dive into the glamorous, yet treacherous, world of perfumery at the French court. Your goal is to become the most renowned perfumer by creating fragrances that enchant the King and his court. It all begins with harvesting precious flowers like roses, jasmine, and lavender. With these, you'll extract pure scents and, perhaps, mix them with solvents and fixatives to create something truly special. But a successful perfumer's life isn't just about flowers! You need to hone your techniques, study new recipes, and even travel to learn the secrets of the art. In the game, this translates to acquiring new skills and locations that grant you unique advantages. And of course, the court is a stage for intrigue: you'll need to navigate complex social relationships, win the favor of influential ladies, and perhaps even seduce them to gain access and influence over the King. Each presented perfume is judged by its originality and elegance, earning prestige points. Whoever accumulates the most prestige by the end is crowned the master perfumer! Prepare for an immersion into the opulence and gossip of the court of Versailles, where your sense of smell is as crucial as your charm.
