About the game

What you do in a play session

In Argonauts, you and your friends embark on Jason's legendary journey to retrieve the Golden Fleece, a mythical artifact crucial for him to reclaim the throne of Iolcos. The game is a cooperative adventure that puts you in command of iconic heroes like Hercules and Orpheus, each with their own special abilities, aboard the ship Argo. The mission is long and fraught with dangers, from confrontations with fearsome monsters like Scylla and Charybdis, harpies, and the dragon guarding the Fleece, to merciless pirates and devastating storms. In addition to fighting, you need to manage Argo's supplies and ensure the ship remains seaworthy. Each turn, the team decides which heroes will face the challenges, using might or cunning. The catch? Exhausted heroes become unavailable for the next encounter, requiring careful planning. And to complicate (or help!) matters, the Olympian gods may intervene, altering the course of your saga. Will you be able to bring the Fleece back and return safely to Iolcos, or will the wrath of the gods and the dangers of the sea be too much for the Argo's crew?
