About the game
What you do in a play session
In Art Decko, you step into the shoes of an art collector aiming to assemble the most valuable deck possible, blending gold and masterpieces. The game immerses you in the art world, where you'll hunt for paintings across diverse styles like Art Nouveau, Pop Art, Renaissance, Surrealism, and Impressionism. Your goal is not just to hoard gold but also to manipulate the market, making your pieces increasingly valuable. Every painting acquired and market action taken influences the artwork's worth, and you need to be sharp to profit from these fluctuations.
To achieve this, you start with a deck containing some paintings and gold. Each turn, you can perform two actions: 'Haggle' to draw more cards from your deck, 'Acquire' to purchase new paintings or gold (and boost the value of an art style or gold in the process), or 'Exhibit' to display your paintings in a museum for immediate points. Exhibiting a work requires meeting a gallery's specific demands and offers additional bonuses. The game concludes when the museum is full, the painting deck is depleted, or an art style reaches astronomical value. The player with the most points wins!
