Hey there, gamers! Ready to take a trip to the Baltic Sea in the 13th century with Riga? In this quick and strategic game, you and your friends will become merchants, keeping a sharp eye on the most valuable commodities of the era. The goal is straightforward: accumulate more power than your rivals by dominating the port cities. Each round kicks off with commodity cards being bundled into packages, each with a fluctuating value. Pay close attention, because the worth of each commodity shifts depending on the city! In Gdansk, for instance, grain might be worthless, but glass can make you rich. Alongside commodities, there are building cards you can construct. To do so, simply discard the right commodities. Each building grants victory points and, potentially, some helpful merchants who make it easier to acquire more resources or points. Riga continues the series of small games from OSTIA Spiele set in the Baltic Sea, following Visby and Tallinn, offering an economic and speculative experience in a compact package. With two turns per round, one clockwise and one counterclockwise, every decision counts towards you getting ahead and becoming the greatest tycoon of the Baltic Sea!
