About the game
What you do in a play session
Soda Jerk is a fast‑paced card game that puts you in the shoes of a soda‑shop clerk trying to brew the most profitable flavor combos. Each player draws a hand of ingredient cards – strawberry, blueberry, banana, kiwi and orange – and on their turn may either place a card face‑down in front of the matching tap or flip over a card that’s already face‑down. The goal is to build stacks that will score positive points while forcing opponents to end up with cards that generate negative values. The round ends when a player starts their turn with only three cards, when all players flip cards consecutively, or when no face‑down cards remain on the table. At that moment all hidden cards are revealed, matching‑flavor cards are added together and non‑matching cards are subtracted. Every card left in your hand is then worth points equal to the final value of its corresponding tap, turning leftover cards into bonus points. The game runs about 15 minutes, supports 2‑4 players, and works great as a quick filler or a warm‑up before a heavier title. Commodity speculation mixes with hand management, urging you to guess which flavors will rise or fall and decide when to gamble or hold back. Though the rules are simple, there’s room for bluffing and manipulating opponents’ scores, since a tap can end up with a negative total. Bright artwork and clear icons make the flow easy to follow, and the Tiny Box format means you can slip it into any bag. If you love rapid games, have a soft spot for food‑themed fun, and enjoy watching friends turn red (or blue) with negative points, Soda Jerk delivers fizzy excitement every turn.
