Assault of the Giants

Assault of the Giants brings the Storm King's Thunder saga to the tabletop, letting 3‑6 players command armies of giants in a war across northwest Faerûn. Each player picks a giant race – from hill to storm giants – and receives a deck of command cards that control recruiting, moving, attacking, pillaging and special missions. The cards drive tactical choices: when to bring new giants, where to march, which villages or cities to sack, and how to harvest resources such as food, artifacts, ore and runes. Every race has its own agenda, like restoring the lost king of the storm giants or feeding chief Guh to excess. The board is divided into regions that grant points for majority, making area control vital. Action Retrieval lets you regain spent cards, while Open Drafting gives everyone the same pool of options, encouraging strategic blocking. Die Icon Resolution resolves combats and events with themed symbols rather than numbers. Hand Management and Trading boost player interaction, as resources can be swapped to meet personal goals. The game includes 12 detailed giant miniatures (about 60‑90 mm tall) and three Giantslayers, all in vivid colors. Games run 60‑150 minutes, blending area‑majority strategy, variable player powers and a strong fantasy flavor, ideal for fans of miniatures and the Dungeons & Dragons world.
