About the game
What you do in a play session
Atlanta Is Ours plunges you headfirst into the Atlanta Campaign, one of the most crucial moments of the American Civil War. This title is another installment in the acclaimed Great Campaigns of the American Civil War (GCACW) series, delivering everything fans expect: beautifully painted maps by Charlie Kibler and redesigned military units with a modern look that still harks back to the series' classics. The game features an updated version of the standard GCACW Basic Game Rules, making it easy for those already familiar with the series, as well as standardized Advanced Game rules, allowing you to dive into different campaigns without wasting time learning everything anew. Prepare for a deep immersion with 14 Basic Game scenarios and 5 Advanced Game campaigns, all extensively playtested. Basic scenarios range from a perfect beginner's introduction, like 'The Opportunity of a Lifetime,' to intense battles such as 'Kennesaw Mountain' and 'Battle of Atlanta.' You can relive historical maneuvers, daring attacks, and even hypothetical scenarios that could have altered the course of history. The Advanced campaigns, in turn, allow you to play from Johnston's retreat to Sherman's capture of Atlanta, or even a 'grand campaign' linking all events from May to September 1864. With two 22"x32" full-color map sheets, three 280-piece counter sheets, and a series of displays and charts, Atlanta Is Ours is a robust package for any historical wargame enthusiast.
