Ever thought about assembling your own crew of criminals, planning heists, and outsmarting the police? In Bad Company, that's exactly what you do! You're in charge of a gang that you can customize to fit your specific goals. One of the coolest features is the upgrade system: you place overlapping cards on your gang members, meaning their visual appearance actually changes as they gain new abilities. It's incredibly satisfying to see your crew evolve as you take over the city.
The core gameplay revolves around dice. Each round, the active player rolls four dice and splits them into two pairs. If the luck of the draw isn't on your side, you can spend a few coins to reroll. The real kicker is the interaction: while the active player uses their pairs to trigger their crew, other players can also use one of those pairs to activate a member on their own boards. This keeps everyone engaged and virtually eliminates downtime.
But it's not just about luck. You need to gather resources to pull off heists and cash to upgrade your members. There's also a race against time: you must move your car through the city to collect loot and, more importantly, stay ahead of the police. If you lag behind, the law will catch up to you! Completed heists don't just grant points; they provide special abilities that can pivot your entire strategy mid-game.
The game ends when a player completes their sixth heist or when any car reaches the city docks. The player with the most points—earned through heists, upgrades, and city movement—wins. It's a fast-paced game with a light weight, perfect for those who want quick fun without reading a 50-page manual, yet it still offers interesting layers of resource management and positioning.

Is the game very complex?
Not at all, it's quite accessible (weight ~1.9). The rules are straightforward and the game flows quickly, making it great for those avoiding heavy rules.
How long does a game take?
It's very fast, usually around 30 minutes, which makes it ideal for playing multiple sessions in one night.
Can I play it solo?
Yes! The game includes a solo mode where you try to execute your plans while outsmarting the police.
Does it work well with 6 players?
Yes, and the best part is that downtime is minimal since you can take actions during other players' turns.
Does dice luck decide everything?
Dice bring randomness, but the ability to pay for rerolls and the choice of which members to activate help mitigate the luck factor.
Who would you recommend this game to?
Anyone who likes heist themes, 'push your luck' mechanics, and the feeling of evolving their characters during the game.
