About the game
What you do in a play session
In Mazoo's infamous drink bar, patrons mash together sodas, melon, and mysterious flavors, but someone always ends up swallowing the nastiest concoction. Gebodoba Bar turns that chaos into a trick‑taking game that mixes May‑Follow freedom with occasional Must‑Follow pressure. The match consists of two fast rounds, and the goal is to dodge the dreaded "Gebodrink," the drink that makes everyone lose points. At the start of each trick the lead player adds two cards to the communal mix; the others add one each. Cards have colors and ice values. Usually the player who contributes the most ice drinks, but if the mix contains colors different from the starter's, the penalty jumps to the player with the most ice among those differing colors, turning the sip into a Gebodrink. Trick winners lose stamina but gain points, and when a player's stamina hits zero their score resets. The fun lies in reading opponents, managing suits, and choosing when to risk the bad drink. Hand management is light, yet the pressure of deciding whether to drink yourself or make someone else suffer creates constant tension. With a 30‑minute playtime and 2‑4 players, the game fits casual meet‑ups, while its blend of bluffing, deduction, and risk appeals to fans of strategic card games. In short, Gebodoba Bar is a duel of wits where every card can be a rescue or a bitter penalty.
