About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready for a wild meeting at the Beasty Council, where foxes, lions, and elephants gather to decide who will lead! In this strategic card game, you need to balance influence in the council with forming card combinations to score points. Each round, players take turns performing one of two crucial actions: taking a card from the central Plaza to use as a Supporter, or playing a card from their hand as a Representative. If you appoint a Representative, you can also take an additional card from the Plaza that matches the animal type or color of the card you just played. But beware: your Supporter hand has a limit of six cards, so every choice is super important, impacting both your current plays and your final score. When only one card remains in the Plaza, its animal becomes the Chair for that round, and all Representatives of that animal type earn extra points! This means the cards you leave behind can be just as strategic as the ones you take. After the fourth round, each player makes one last Representative appointment before final scoring, where your Representatives are evaluated based on the Supporters remaining in your hand. Oh, and one Supporter can count towards multiple scoring conditions, which is a huge help! Add your Representative Points to the Chair Points accumulated during the game, and the player with the highest total wins the Beasty Council!
