About the game
Imagine yourself as the abbot of a medieval monastery with one ambitious goal: assembling the most impressive library of sacred books in the region. To achieve this, faith alone isn't enough; you'll need manpower and materials. The heart of your operation is the scriptorium, where scribes and illuminators work tirelessly to turn scrolls into masterpieces. However, the gold available for hiring this staff is limited, and the competition with fellow abbots is fierce.

The game dynamics revolve around five essential categories: Illuminators, Scribes, Manuscripts, Scrolls, and Supplies. Your goal is to dominate these categories by accumulating the highest total of each resource to secure victory points. An interesting twist is that the value of these categories isn't static; throughout the game, the Value Board shifts, making some resources more precious and others less desirable, forcing you to adapt your strategy on the fly.

The gameplay is split into two main stages. First, the Donation stage, where you acquire free cards according to a set plan. Then comes the Auction stage, where the tension rises as you spend your gold wisely to bid on the cards needed to complete your sets. Additionally, staying in the good graces of the powerful bishop can be the key to getting the necessary help to stay ahead of the competition.

Biblios blends strategic planning with touches of bluffing and luck. It's the kind of game with rules that are easy to grasp, but it reveals deeper layers of strategy as you play more matches. The experience shifts depending on the number of players (from 2 to 4), but the challenge of managing resources and predicting opponents' moves remains the core fun. Can you earn the bishop's blessing and build the most glorious library of all?
