For the King (and Me) drops you into a realm where the young monarch lacks any governing skill. Your goal? Take on the most prestigious offices and become the most valuable minister. Each round is split into a collection phase and an auction phase. During collection, the active player draws cards one at a time, decides whether to keep one, place another into the auction pile, and reveal the rest for the other players to draft at the end of the turn. You may only take one card per turn, so timing your grab becomes a tense dilemma. After several collection rounds, the cards stacked in the auction pile are sold off in a turn‑order‑until‑pass auction, where each player tries to win cards that give points, gold, or let you tweak the value of the colored sets. At the end, everyone reveals their hands, tallies points from color sets and gold bonuses, and the highest‑scoring minister wins. The game blends aggressive bidding, hand management, and set collection in a quick 30‑minute playtime, supporting 2‑5 players.
