About the game

What you do in a play session

Biosphere casts you as a junior god trying to impress your divine parents by creating perfect life. Each player controls unique species in a shared world, evolving them to adapt to biomes and compete for resources. Every round, you spend evolution points to tweak traits like size, versatility, and lifespan of your creatures. But beware: the environment is ruthless, and less adapted species might vanish! The modular board scales with player count, ensuring each game feels fresh. You can also play development cards for strategic advantages. The goal? Be first to complete five secret objectives, proving you're the true Lord of Creation. Get ready for a unique mix of strategy, adaptation, and just a pinch of luck - even gods need a little help sometimes!

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers before you buy

5 questions
Best player count?
3-4 players is the sweet spot - fast enough but with good interaction. With 6 it can drag.
Kid-friendly?
If they're used to strategy games, yes! Works well from age 12 up, the science theme helps engagement.
Need biology knowledge?
Nope! The game explains everything intuitively. But biologists will chuckle at some details.
Actual playtime?
Box says 30-90min, but expect 60min with experienced players. First games might take 2h.
Luck or pure strategy?
Some Push Your Luck in evolution, but 80% is strategic planning.
