Get ready for an epic magical duel in Black Rose Wars, a competitive fantasy game that throws you into the chaotic universe of Nova Aetas, Italy. Here, you take on the role of a powerful mage from the Black Rose Order, seeking to become the next Supreme Magister to control the legendary Black Rose Artifact and the Forgotten Magic. Your goal? Fight, fulfill the whims of the Black Rose, and enhance your spells until your power is so great that you can break free from the prison where you are exiled.
Each mage has access to six distinct schools of magic, each with its own approach to annihilating opponents and accumulating power. You start the battle with a grimoire of six cards, but as the game progresses, you can study more spells and expand your options. The cool thing is that every spell in Black Rose Wars has two different effects, ensuring incredible adaptability during confrontations. Mages face each other in a modular arena composed of hexagonal rooms, where you can summon powerful creatures, cast devastating spells, or devise dark deceptions with your enchantments.
The game system is divided into well-defined phases. Each turn, after choosing new spells from the six schools of magic, players secretly plan their strategies by placing cards face down. Then, the cards are revealed to perform actions such as eliminating opponents, completing missions, summoning creatures, or even destroying prison rooms, all while you compete against other mages and against the Black Rose system itself. Oh, and if you're defeated? No problem! Mages are reborn immediately, rejoining the fight without delay – but beware, your death feeds the power of those who defeated you. In the end, the mage with the most power will be crowned Supreme Magister by the Black Rose itself.
