Hey everyone! Ready for a timeless classic? Blackjack, or "21" as some folks call it, is that card game everyone knows and loves. It originated in France around 1700 and crossed the pond to become a casino staple. The goal is straightforward: get as close to 21 points as possible without going over, and have a higher score than the dealer.

Cards are worth their face value, except for face cards (Jack, Queen, King) which are worth 10, and the Ace, which can be 1 or 11 – that's the trick!

You place your bet before anything else happens. Then, the dealer gives you two cards, one face up and one face down. From there, you decide whether to "hit" (take more cards) to get closer to 21, or "stand" (stick with your current hand). The dealer, bless their heart, has to follow strict rules: they hit on 16 and stand on 17. If you go over 21, you bust and lose the round. If nobody busts, whoever has the closest score to 21 (without going over!) wins the bet. A natural "Blackjack" (21 with your first two cards) usually gives you a special win, paying out more.
