About the game
In Blazon, you step into the role of a medieval herald, tasked with creating and describing coats of arms according to heraldic traditions. The goal is to accumulate the most Prestige, earned by placing Element cards onto your Shield board. Each card has specific Tincture or Device requirements to be played, and you must discard other cards from your hand whose combined Prestige Value equals or exceeds that of the card you wish to place. Managing your hand of cards is crucial for optimizing your plays and ensuring you have the right elements at the right time.

Beyond scoring with the cards themselves, you can earn bonus Prestige by achieving special Distinctions, awarded for meeting certain objectives or patterns on your shield. The game ends when a player reaches 50 Prestige points, completely fills their shield, or claims their final Distinction. The player with the most Prestige at the end is crowned the King of Arms!

Blazon offers an enjoyable gameplay experience for 1 to 4 players, lasting between 30 and 60 minutes. The open drafting mechanic allows you to choose cards that best fit your strategy, while pattern building and set collection add layers of depth. It's a game with a medium weight (2.21/5), accessible for those seeking a tactical challenge without being overly complex. The art and medieval theme add a special charm to the experience.
