About the game

What you do in a play session

Get ready to raise a medieval city on your table with Carcassonne: The City! Unlike its older sibling, this game is standalone and invites you to build a metropolis from scratch, tile by tile. Everyone will work together to expand the city's limits, while the walls grow around it, starting from a wooden gate that adds a special charm. These walls, made of finely crafted wooden pieces, create an incredible visual at the end of the game. The tile-placement rules have been slightly adjusted for this challenge, and there's more: you can position your followers as guards on the walls! From there, they have a privileged view of the city and secure extra points. Oh, and to make everything even more stylish, each player receives a set of wooden towers that decorate the walls. It's a Carcassonne experience with a touch of urban building and an impressive visual. Perfect for those who enjoy the series and want something a bit different, or for newcomers looking for a tile-placement game with a cool visual touch and a bit more strategy.
