About the game
What you do in a play session
Cavum plunges you into the depths of a mountain brimming with riches! You and your fellow players will dig tunnels across a hexagonal board to discover veins of precious stones. The objective is clear: mine these beauties, establish strategic stations both within the mountain and in the city, and, of course, sell them all at the best price. Each gem type has its own market, and prices fluctuate based on supply. Keep an eye on the contracts that appear each round – completing these missions yields valuable points, but failing can be costly. To determine turn order, there's an auction for order chips. Afterward, each player receives an identical set of tiles to expand their tunnels, build stations, or discover new veins. The prospecting action is key to collecting gems, connecting your stations and passing through as many veins as possible. Watch out for dynamite, which can cause havoc in the tunnels! Ultimately, points are earned from stations in the city and from selling gems. The player with the most points wins this underground gold rush. It's a highly strategic game where planning routes and managing resources are crucial for emerging victorious.
