Get your spirit of resistance ready, because Censura is a cooperative game that dives deep into one of the most intense periods of our history: the Military Dictatorship in Brazil. Between 1964 and 1985, the atmosphere was one of constant tension, with the State attempting to silence any voice daring to question the regime. But, as history teaches us, the resistance never backed down. It manifested in the streets, on music stages, in banned books, and at the ballot boxes. In Censura, you and your friends take on the role of this resistance, trying to keep the flame of democracy alive while the system tries to blow out all the lights. The challenge is real and requires coordination: you will need to strategically organize social movements, artists, and politicians, often without being able to say exactly what you are thinking. The communication limits mechanic is the heart of the game, simulating the fear and the need to act cautiously under the watchful eye of the military. As the timeline progresses, new challenges will arise with new decrees that can block your actions at the most critical moments. But don't lose hope! As the game progresses, historical figures who fought for freedom will appear to give you that much-needed boost. It is a dynamic card game where the goal is not just to win, but to ensure that the history of democracy is written with victory. If you enjoy games with heavy thematic weight that make you think about the world around you while trying to survive an oppressive system, this is your next tabletop challenge. Prepare your cards, protect your allies, and above all, break the censorship!
