Get ready to dive deep into the human mind! In Cerebria: The Inside World, you're not just playing an area control game; you're shaping a personality. You take on the role of a powerful Spirit, representing either Bliss or Gloom. These two opposing forces engage in an epic struggle to dominate the Inside World, transforming the psyche into their own image.
The game unfolds across five fascinating realms, such as the Valley of Motives and the Web of Thoughts. To win, you and your teammate must invoke Emotion cards, which act as your primary tools of influence. But it's not just about placing a card; you can upgrade these emotions into more potent versions or stifle the opponent's emotions to clear your path. All of this costs Willpower, which you gain by meditating at the Origin's Spheres in the center of the board.
The dynamics are intense and fluid. The ultimate goal is to build the 'Identity' through events called Revelations. During these moments, the current state of the board is 'frozen' in the form of permanent Fragments. While emotions shift constantly, these Fragments are the only immutable marks. Victory goes to the team that manages to imprint more of its essence onto the final Identity.
Featuring hand management, action points, and variable player powers, Cerebria is a dense and strategic experience. It's the kind of game where every movement decision and every card upgrade can completely change the tide of the match. If you enjoy games with deep themes and complex strategic layers, where cooperation with your partner is vital to dominate the territory, Cerebria is for you. Who will dominate the mind: the light of Bliss or the shadows of Gloom?

Is the game very complex?
Yes, it has a high weight (4.3 on BGG). It's not for beginners; it requires patience to learn the rules and understand the interaction between mechanics.
How long does a game last?
Expect something between 60 to 120 minutes, but if the group is unfamiliar, the first game can take significantly longer.
Does it work well with 2 players?
Yes, the game supports 1 to 4 players, allowing for both solo mode and competitive duels between the two forces.
Do I need someone to teach me?
Recommended. Due to the complexity, having someone who knows the rules or using a tutorial (like DIZED) helps a lot to avoid getting stuck at the start.
Does the psychology theme affect the gameplay?
Absolutely! The theme guides the 'Revelations' mechanic and the Identity construction, making the experience much more immersive than a generic area control game.
