About the game
Prepare for a Jurassic era filled with hunger and strategy in Chomp! In this fast-paced and visually intriguing game, you take on the role of a dinosaur herd leader, trying to ensure your group—both herbivores and the ravenous carnivores—has enough to eat. The catch? If the carnivores go unfed, they might just take a bite out of an unsuspecting herbivore to fill their bellies! The gameplay is straightforward: each turn, you select a tile from an open pool. These tiles are of two types: objective tiles, which are set aside for end-game scoring, and dinosaur tiles, which you place in your play area. Each new dinosaur tile must overlap one or more previous tiles, covering a quarter, half, or even a whole tile, completely hiding the dinos underneath. Forming herds is crucial: dinosaurs of the same species that are adjacent become a herd. If this herd is connected to a food source, they all eat and live happily. But if they are unfed, near a tar pit, or next to a hungry carnivore, their fate might be grim. In the end, each living and well-fed dinosaur scores points based on its size. Whoever has the highest score, with their best-cared-for dinos, emerges victorious from this prehistoric survival contest. It's a game that demands planning and a keen eye on opponents' moves, all wrapped in a theme that appeals to many!
