About the game

What you do in a play session

Colors of Paris (2019) drops you into the bustling Montmartre, where painters of all stripes gather to showcase their talent. The goal is to outscore your rivals by delivering artworks that meet the contracts you pick at the start of each round. To do that you must manage your paint tubes, mix colors, and decide when to use each action, because the set of available actions rotates every turn. The open‑drafting mechanic lets you choose the order in which action cards are distributed, giving each player a chance to plan ahead. Contracts act as long‑term objectives, requiring you to collect sets of works and combine specific colors to fulfill orders. The tech track provides permanent upgrades—new colors or faster actions—that you unlock as the game progresses. Worker placement comes into play when you decide to place workers on locations to gain extra resources or speed up production. Variable player powers ensure each participant has a unique advantage, making every game feel fresh. The game blends long‑term strategy with quick tactical decisions, delivering an engaging mix of art, economics, and friendly competition. If you enjoy games that demand planning, adaptation, and a dash of creativity, Colors of Paris is a solid pick.
