About the game
Core Space is a 3‑D miniatures board game that blends adventure, exploration, and combat in a galaxy full of danger. Each player controls a crew of traders who must survive attacks from a semi‑autonomous machine race known as the Purge while earning money to repair their ship. The board is fully modular, made up of pieces you can assemble in different ways to create unique scenarios each game.

The heart of the game is the action‑point system: on each turn you receive a limited number of points that can be spent on moving, attacking, or using abilities. Movement occurs on a grid, but there are also measurement mechanics that allow more precise displacement. The dice feature icons that indicate actions, making results easier to read.

Core Space offers a campaign mode that follows the crew’s story across multiple sessions, with skill and equipment progression. For role‑playing fans, the game lets each character have unique powers and make decisions that influence the narrative.

The game can be played solo or with up to six players, in cooperative and semi‑cooperative modes. The complexity is medium, requiring attention to turn planning but not endless rules. Components are robust: 3‑mm miniatures, a 2‑ft² board, icon‑dice, dry‑erase markers, and over 100 equipment tokens.

If you enjoy tactical strategy, miniatures, sci‑fi narratives, and want something that mixes combat with exploration, Core Space is a solid pick. The only caveat: the board takes up space and the game can run from 45 to 180 minutes depending on player count and campaign length.
