About the game
What you do in a play session
Get ready for more action and destruction with the Battling Giants expansion for Crossbows and Catapults! If you already enjoy the fun chaos of launching pieces with crossbows and catapults, this expansion brings two new, gigantic launchers to supercharge your battles. We have the Cyclops, a war machine that looks like a chariot with arms, and the Minotaur, which carries its projectiles on its horns. Both work similarly: you position a projectile (the 'caroms'), press a button, and... BANG! The piece flies towards the enemy.
This duo can be used to give extra boost to the base game of Crossbows and Catapults, adding more variety and challenges. Or, if you want a more focused experience, they can even be used in a solo game, where you test your aim against the monsters themselves. The expansion comes with both giants, plus extra projectiles and more warriors (barbarians and vikings) to complete the army. It's pure dexterity fun, perfect for those who enjoy quick games with a touch of fantasy and plenty of guaranteed laughter watching the pieces fly wildly. Ideal for playing with family or friends who enjoy a physical challenge and a bit of medieval strategy with monsters!

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you buy
Do I need the base game Crossbows and Catapults to play with this expansion?
Yes! This expansion adds new components and mechanics, but it's designed to be used with the main game. No base game, no battle!
Is it a competitive or cooperative game?
The base game and this expansion are competitive, with each player trying to take down the other's army. However, you can use the new launchers for solo target practice too!
What is the recommended age?
As it's a dexterity game and a bit more frantic, we recommend it for ages 8 and up. Younger children might have fun but may need some help.
How long does a game with the expansion take?
Just like the base game, the matches are super quick! Expect something around 10 minutes. Perfect for those who want action without the fuss.
What comes in the box besides the monsters?
The expansion includes the Cyclops and the Minotaur, which are the new launchers, plus extra projectiles (the 'caroms') and more warriors for the armies, like barbarians and vikings.
Is it very different from the original game?
The main mechanic of launching pieces remains the same. The big difference is the new launchers, which are larger and have a more imposing look, plus a slightly different way of loading the projectiles.
