About the game

What you do in a play session

Cyclian is a fast-paced network-building game that brings Hugame’s minimalist aesthetic straight to your board. Instead of using all 24 map tiles, each game forces players to use only 12, meaning that in a three‑player game each player gets four turns, and in a four‑player game only three. The goal is simple: create the longest section of track that connects two stations of your color, but with an interesting twist – you can use tracks of other colors, as if they were private railways running on competitors’ lines. Each tile features lines and curves, and the stations indicate where two companies cross. When the game ends, the section that scores the most points, counting tiles and opponent stations, wins. What sets Cyclian apart is the “rotate” mechanic: before placing your tile, you can rotate an already‑placed tile 90 degrees around a corner, moving it to an adjacent space. This can break a valuable section or create new connections. The game is quick, requires little memory, and offers a tactical challenge in minutes, perfect for fans of light strategy and route building. Additionally, Cyclian marks the beginning of Hugame’s Minimalian series, promising more titles with the same sleek, streamlined approach.
