About the game

What you do in a play session

Deus: Egypt is the first expansion for the popular Deus, bringing the vibrant setting of ancient Egypt into your expanding empire. The premise is simple: you, as pharaoh, must use construction cards to dominate the four main board areas – Agriculture, Architecture, Religion, and Trade. Each area has 16 cards that change the rules and strategies available, letting you pick a full set or mix with the base deck. The game keeps the Area Majority / Influence mechanic, where the majority of pieces in a region earns points and influence. Hand Management comes into play when you decide which card to play each turn, balancing immediate use against future potential. The modular board ensures each game is unique, with tiles that can be repositioned or swapped, while Variable Player Powers give each participant distinct abilities, boosting replayability. The Egyptian theme is rich, with nods to gods like Isis and Osiris, pyramids, and the Nile, creating an immersive experience for lovers of ancient civilizations and mythology. If you already know Deus and want to try new strategies, Deus: Egypt is the perfect pick for 2 to 4 players, 60 to 90 minutes of pure fun and intrigue.
