About the game
Dixit: Revelations adds 84 fresh cards that elevate the storytelling experience to a new level of wonder. Illustrator Marina Coudray, famous for blending Art Deco with Surrealism, delivers images that look like they’ve stepped out of a dream, referencing Greek myths, esoteric symbols, and even internet memes. The expansion keeps the core of the base game: one player takes on the role of Storyteller, selects a card from their hand, and crafts a clue that sparks the imagination of the others. The remaining players then secretly hand in cards that, when shuffled, are revealed and voted on. If the Storyteller gets votes, they score; if no one or everyone votes, they score nothing. Players who guess the Storyteller’s card or whose card is chosen also earn points. The novelty lies in the artwork, demanding bolder, more creative interpretations, and the larger card pool, which allows for more story variations. The game lasts about 30 minutes, is easy to learn, and is ideal for groups of 3 to 6 people. Even if you’ve never played Dixit, the rules are simple: choose, narrate, vote, and enjoy. If you love art, narrative, and games that challenge perception, Dixit: Revelations is an expansion that will enrich your repertoire and make game nights even more memorable.
