About the game
In Djinn, you and your adventure partners are young members of the Magic Guild tasked with protecting a legendary source of magic. The map consists of thirteen interconnected locations, each offering essential resources: bottles, corks, magical items, and the chance to capture djinn hiding in six of these spots. Gameplay revolves around grid movement, where each turn you can choose to go to one of two or three available destinations, requiring careful planning to ensure you have everything you need before confronting the djinn. Players can also hire mages, discover secret passages, and use open draft cards to refine their tactics. When all the boss djinn are captured and removed from the map, the game ends and points are tallied, including end‑game bonuses that reward well‑executed collections and strategies. The variable player powers mechanic adds asymmetry, as each participant receives unique abilities that influence their choices. The modular board and variable setup guarantee that each game feels different, keeping the experience fresh. Djinn blends resource collection, strategic movement, and creature capture in a captivating Arabian fantasy setting full of mystery. If you enjoy planning routes, collecting items, and tackling time‑pressure challenges, Djinn may be the perfect game for your group nights.
