About the game
What you do in a play session
Doctor Who Fluxx is the wackiest, time‑traveling spin‑off of the classic Fluxx, bringing the Doctor’s galaxy, Daleks, Weeping Angels, and even K‑9 straight to the table. What makes Fluxx a cult hit is that the rules are literally cards—yes, the cards themselves dictate the game’s rules! At the start, each player gets three cards that can be rules, actions, or goals. On each turn you draw a card, play one, and if it’s a rule it instantly changes what you can do: how many cards to draw, play, or even who wins. In Doctor Who Fluxx the fun ramps up because the cards bring regenerating Doctors, iconic companions, and Gallifreyan tech that further shift the game’s flow. The Set Collection mechanic appears when you try to complete a goal, but the rules keep changing, so what was a goal at the start might become “win by drawing three cards” or “discard two cards” in seconds. The game is quick—5 to 30 minutes—and works for 2 to 6 players, though an expansion adds a solo mode. If you’re a Doctor Who fan, a Fluxx enthusiast, or just love games that require constant adaptation, Doctor Who Fluxx will make you laugh, cry, and keep you on your toes as the rules flip every turn!
