About the game

What you do in a play session

In Doge, you're a Venetian noble vying for influence in the city of canals. The game blends bluffing, auctions, and area control in strategic rounds. Players secretly place influence markers on Venice's districts, revealed in a specific order. Dominating a district lets you build houses and control advisors — game-changing pieces that shift power when relocated. The goal? Trade houses for palazzos and be the first to have palazzos in a set number of districts (varying by player count). Doge demands careful planning and quick adaptation, as advisors can flip the game anytime. With wooden components and a stylish map, it immerses you in Renaissance Venice's intrigues, where every decision leads to power... or obscurity.

Can you play with 2 players?
No, it's designed for 3-4 players. With fewer, the area control loses its punch.
What's the minimum age?
12+, due to heavy strategy and bluffing. But sharp teens can handle it from age 10.
Is there language dependency?
None! Universal symbols and numbers. Even the rulebook has minimal text.
How long does a game take?
45-60 minutes, but may stretch with highly negotiative groups.
Do you need extra boards?
Nope — Venice's map and beautiful wooden pieces are included!
