About the game
What you do in a play session
In Dubious, you and your friends become medieval detectives uncovering juicy secrets. Each round, a player crafts a wild story about their character based on occupation and secret cards — but can you trust what they say? Others ask tricky questions and vote on what they think is true, while the storyteller tries to sway the majority. It's a party game blending bluffing, role-playing and deduction: can you spot the knight hiding a thief's past, or the healer who's actually a witch? With simple mechanics but guaranteed laughs, Dubious is perfect for groups who love social games with a fantasy twist. Just don't believe everything you hear...

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers before you buy
How many players are ideal?
Best with 4-6 people. Works with 3 but loses some group deduction fun.
Is it hard to learn?
Nope! Rules take 5 minutes. The real challenge is selling your wild stories to others.
Does it require creativity?
Somewhat, but cards provide great prompts. And outrageous tales are what make it hilarious!
How long does a game take?
Each round is quick (5-10 min), full game ~30 min. Perfect to kick off game night.
Is it language dependent?
Moderately. You'll need to read occupation/secret cards, so a translated version helps.
