Monsters come in three levels, each requiring a specific number of Mahjong‑style melds—either three consecutive numbers or three identical numbers—plus additional level‑specific requirements. When a monster is defeated, it joins the player’s party, granting victory points and special effects that can swing the game.

The climax arrives when a player defeats one of the four level‑three Demon Lords, or three other level‑three monsters. The game ends and the player with the most victory points is crowned hero.
