About the game
What you do in a play session
Hey there, aspiring alchemists! Ready to level up your potion game? The Guild Of Alchemists expansion for Potion-Making: Practice is here to spice things up with a new deck of cards and the ultimate goal: crafting the legendary Philosopher's Stone. At the start of the game, each player gets a secret "Magnum Opus" card outlining a series of formulas to complete. If you're the first to fulfill your list, you've successfully created the Stone, ending the game and earning bonus points!
This expansion introduces new formulas, spells, and rules to make things even more exciting. Remember, you need the base game to play, but Guild Of Alchemists and Practice remain separate from each other. Each turn is now divided into three phases, allowing you to draw cards from either deck and play them as elements or formulas, opening up fresh strategic opportunities and ingenious combinations.
There's a new element, "Elementary granum," which can act as any ingredient when creating a formula and can later substitute any other element. You'll also find the "Elixir of Omnitude," capable of replacing any simple (two-component) elixir. However, be warned: if someone snatches a formula you made using these special components, you won't receive half points as compensation. That's the price of innovation! And for those who love a good challenge, this expansion can be combined with Potion-Making: University Course, putting three separate decks into play. Ready to brew up some fun?
