Prepare your army because total war has arrived in the world of Dungeons & Dragons! In Conquest of Nerath, you take command of one of the four great powers fighting for territorial supremacy. On one side, we have the League of Nerath and its human kingdoms fighting for survival; on the other, the undead legions of the Karkoth Empire marching from the north. Meanwhile, in the south, the Iron Circle and its goblin hordes attempt to crush the elves and corsairs of Vailin. It is an epic conquest game where military strategy meets high magic.
The game isn't just about moving troops; it's about managing resources and diverse units. You'll have everything from basic infantry and siege engines to colossal creatures, elementals, and dragons. But the real game-changer lies in the heroes: knights and wizards who lead your troops and can explore dungeons in search of magical artifacts and treasures that provide crucial combat upgrades. Each faction possesses its own unique advantages and event decks, meaning the strategy for winning with the elves is completely different from that used by the undead.
Visually, the game is a spectacle. With hundreds of highly detailed miniatures, the board transforms into a vibrant battlefield. You'll need patience and tactical vision to dominate the snowy forests of Winterbole or the sun-drenched coasts of Vailin. If you love the feeling of commanding legions and watching your empire grow while tearing down enemy walls, this title is for you. The complexity is moderate to high, requiring players to deeply understand the interaction between units and hero management to avoid being swept off the map.
