Fortress America

In Fortress America, you're thrust into an epic global conflict where the United States is the target of three invading powers: the Asian People's Alliance, the Central American Federation, and the Euro-Socialist Pact. Each round, you can choose to defend the homeland as the USA, managing resources and deploying colossal lasers and guerilla fighters to repel attacks from all sides. Alternatively, you can join one or more invading armies, working collaboratively to overwhelm American defenses and capture key cities. The gameplay experience shifts dramatically depending on your allegiance: the USA faces a solitary, desperate battle on three fronts, needing to optimize every laser and soldier. The invaders, conversely, must be relentless and coordinated, as they receive no reinforcements and must capture 18 out of 30 major cities to win. The game employs a dice-based combat system where every move and confrontation brings one side closer to victory or defeat. With a ten-turn limit, the USA can also win by simply outlasting the invasion. This 2012 edition features custom combat dice, a captured city track for easy monitoring, and an optional deck of variant cards for the invaders, adding an extra layer of strategy and rebalancing.
