About the game

What you do in a play session

In Enemy Chocolatier, the Candyman has just reopened his chocolate factory and is ready to take over the city. But he needs a villain to spice things up: one player will be recruited as the dreaded Enemy Chocolatier, the rival trying to claim each neighborhood of the metropolis. Each game starts at the factory, where you receive initial resources and a "secret" that slowly unfolds. The board is modular, made up of tiles representing different neighborhoods; assembling the map creates a unique scenario every play. Your goal is to expand your influence by placing markers in districts and securing majority in key areas. Every controlled region generates money and victory points, and also brings you closer to completing the secret recipe that grants end‑game bonuses. The Area Majority/Influence mechanic forces you to watch opponents' placements, as control of a district can flip quickly. Meanwhile, economic management kicks in: you buy ingredients, pay wages, and invest in factory upgrades while trying to keep a positive cash flow. The game lasts about an hour, supports 2‑6 players, and has a light complexity (weight 2.07), making it ideal for fans of Euro‑style strategy without heavy rules. The artwork is colorful and humorous, reinforcing the "confectioner showdown" vibe. If you enjoy games where rivalry is as sweet as chocolate, Enemy Chocolatier offers plenty of bluffing, negotiation, and a dash of backstabbing. It blends economic planning, territorial contest, and the fun of building your own chocolate empire.
