About the game
What you do in a play session
Escape: The Curse of the Temple – Queenie 6: The Maze is the fastest and most intense expansion you can play with your crew. It adds two new chambers – the Mirage, which swaps the Starting Chamber, and the Gear, which forces you to roll two torch dice to slide an entire row or column of tiles. Then there are two new curses: the Weakest Link, which makes you lose if you don’t return to the Start Chamber before the counter ends, and Misinformation, which forces you to shout “I found the exit” twice every time you discover a new chamber. The treasures aren’t left out: the Short Cut lets you look at the whole stack of cards and pick one, Time Out pauses the music and timer to plan without rolling dice, and the Genie Lamp gives the first three treasure cards, letting you choose one and return the others to the bottom. The game runs for 1 to 6 players in just 10 minutes of real time, with very simple rules, but the time pressure keeps the adrenaline high. If you love racing against the clock, teamwork, and challenges that demand quick decisions, this expansion will be your next hit. Set up the board, adjust the timer, and see who can escape before time runs out – and remember: the Weakest Link curse can’t be lifted, so the return strategy is essential!
