In Ethnos 2nd Edition, the land is barren after a past age, and it’s up to you, a clever leader, to gather the twelve scattered clans and conquer the six remaining regions. Each clan has unique abilities – some attract more members, others offer influence or recruitment bonuses – and that’s where strategy comes in: choosing who to command and when to use each advantage. The game blends area control with hand management: you must decide which cards to use to attract members, which to hold to strengthen your position, and when to deploy troops in specific regions. Open drafting keeps everything dynamic, as everyone sees available options and picks in turn, creating tension and blocking opportunities. The second edition brings updated rules, a solo mode, and balance tweaks, like prestige rebalancing and new clans such as the Raccoon Merchants. The result is a 60‑minute game playable by 1‑6 players, with a moderate learning curve and high replayability thanks to different clan combinations and strategies. If you enjoy territory‑control games with a card‑strategy twist, Ethnos 2nd Edition will leave you feeling like the ruler of a true empire.
