About the game
What you do in a play session
Ferkelei drops you into a juicy stock market, but with a very animal twist: colorful piglets battling for the title of best‑dressed. Each player starts with two stock chips and, on every turn, may exchange one chip for another or buy a new one (there’s no cash at the start, so only swaps are possible). Then comes the fun part: you may play as many cards of a single colour as you like – from zero to five, except you must play at least one if you hold five cards or the draw pile is empty. The cards depict piglets of various colours and outfits; by placing them on the board you can cover rival piglets or push your favourite to the front, steering which pigs earn prizes. The so‑called bandwagon effect is the game’s engine: when a certain pig colour becomes hot, everyone scrambles to buy its stock, helping each other without formal alliances. When the trend fades or someone plays a negative pig, the wave crashes and attention shifts to another colour. This creates successive waves of popularity that drive the game’s tempo. The win condition is simple: end the game with the most money, earned from prizes given to piglets that travel the farthest and appear most often on the board. Though the speculation mechanics sound heavyweight, the 45‑minute playtime and constant interaction keep things breezy and full of laughs. Perfect for fans of stock‑market games who also love a quirky animal theme and like emergent strategies without explicit teaming.
